King of the Israelites and of the house from which Jesus Christ is descended. Famously killed Goliath with a slingshot. Immortalized by Michelangelo in the sculpture David, which since it’s completion has become synonymous with Florence. Also may refer to the Magen David, Mogen David, or Star of David which is a hexagram used as a symbol of Judaism. David’s shield or the shield of David are synonymous with the Star of David.
