The city was approached through the gate/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="cd11b0d62acacf6c7df3fe7e2b312853" target="_blank" >Lion Gate of massive masonry-construction/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="d9f5004d35e24567ba8634cf11a55379" target="_blank" >masonry construction, surmounted by affronted lions. Other important ancient remains include the Treasury of Atreus and the beehive tombs. (Harris, 1977)
