Liv Breads Artisan Bakery and Coffee Bar is located at 184 Essex Street in downtown Millburn. Liv Breads is highly celebrated for its traditional, scratch-baked European-style selections:
- Sourdough & Babka: Their absolute signature items are naturally fermented, high-hydration sourdough loaves and exceptionally rich chocolate or cinnamon babkas.
- Signature Pastries: Locals frequent the shop for expertly laminated croissants (such as the popular chocolate almond variety), rugelach, and seasonal tarts.
- Color-Changing Lemonade: As seen on the small chalkboard sign at the counter, they serve a striking Purple Pea Flower Lemonade—an all-natural, color-shifting drink infused with butterfly pea flower tea.

The narrow storefront has a row of seating, a counter with full service to the side with drop pendants overhead. Dividing them is a product merchandising shelf to increase the average sale per customer.
A weekend only menu is near the register to help expedite placement of orders. A minimal menu that is well done, is all a business needs to be successful.
The refrigerated display case with grab and go items, shows customers what they can easily order and take with them. This application of the “show me, don’t tell me” selling principle is on good display.
