Alps Green

A brecciated serpentine marble from Italy, in many varieties. All have the same geological formation but vary considerably in appearance, running from a very deep to a very light green mass, infiltrated with calcite. This causes light green and white veins, which spread at times into broader veins and patches. (Saylor, 1952)
