Alabama marble
A fine-grained white variety, the chief attractiveness of which is due to its life and warmth of coloring – for the most part a cream white rather than the bluish white common to Italian white marbles. Some of the commercial grades are: Clouded “A,” Cream “A,” Selected Cream, Madre Clouded, Madre Cream, Madre Vein, and Veined Cream. (Saylor, 1952)
