Downtown – Delphos, Ohio

A block with varied heights and textures. Each building is distinctive while contributing to a cohesive whole.

Corbelled cornice, stone trim, paired sash windows, brick pilasters, bracketed cornice, and parapet with sunburst give great architectural character to this building.

The Central Block has many of the same details – corbelled cornice and parapet. Regrettably the metal awning and sign board at the ground floor level detract from what is above.

Cast iron storefront has Bass stamp from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, 1897.

As the panorama shows, most of the intensity of buildings is in a few block area. Overall Delphos has a very handsome downtown.
