Field Notes: Aleworks – Williamsburg, Virginia

Isaac Kremer/ July 2, 2019/ beer, Economic, Field Notes/ 0 comments

We found this brewery in what was formerly a storefront at an outlet center with over 100 stores. Changing patterns in retail and consumer tastes and preferences prefigured the location of a store like this here. We noted how many elements traditional to a beer garden or beer hall were incorporated to this indoor setting, giving it some unique character and a sense of place. Ample space was set aside for retail products as well, keeping a connection with the outlet center environs.

While not a huge collection, Games were available for patrons enjoyment.
