An expression used by bridge erectors in hoisting to signify that a stoppingpointor limit has been reached; derived from the condition of a block and tackle being overhauled until the two blocks come together when no further motion in the same direction is possible. A synonym for this is “Chock-a-block.” (Bridge, 2019)
