Surrealist art
A style of art inspired by dreams and hidden thoughts. It is an artistic cultural movement that portrays a wide array of themes of imagination, choices of colors, and various art techniques. Surrealist artists focus on displaying the unconscious mind, and the movement defies logic. The movement began in Paris, France in the 1920s and grew principally out of the earlier Dada movement. Salvador Dali, Frida Kahlo, Rene Magritte, Dorothea Tanning, and Max Ernst are some of the most well-known Surrealist painters. (Kremer, 2024)
