Incorrect usage, molding vs. moulding, see “” instead. A term applied to a particular kind of molding, used much for stringcourses in work of Edward I and Edward II’s reign. It is called the scroll or roll-molding from the resemblance to a roll of parchment, the last fold overlapping. (Parker, 1896)
