Abyssinia architecture

This ancient kingdom has not been explored by those who could make architecture their study. No continued civilization has flourished there. Evidences of Greek and, perhaps, of Egyptian culture have been found, but these seem to be the only remains of monuments erected by conquering chiefs… (Sturgis, 1900)
