Brosseau, Grace H., c.1872

Grace Brosseau lived in Albion from 1904 to 1914, during which time her husband, Alfred Brosseau, was secretary and general manager of the Gale Company, which manufactured plows. He was later president of Mack Trucks in New York City.
Soon after coming to Albion, Grace organized the Hannah Tracy Grant Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR). She also served as president general of the DAR from 1926 to 1929 and it was during her administration the DAR built Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C., incurring no indebtedness. In 1947, she was appointed editor of the DAR Magazine. She died April 20, 1959, in Greenwich, Connecticut.
