Carved or molded decorative plasterwork; such work may include moldings, panels, cornices, decorative ceilings, rosettes, or centerpieces. The terms parget, pargetting, pergetting, pergeuring, parging, and parge work refer more specifically to an ornamental facing for plaster walls; they likewise can refer to a coat of mortar applied to masonry walls.
