Convert to baptistry of St. John the Baptist. Original vaulted ceiling in perfect condition. Proximity to sea built on massive elevated base. Underground rooms mirror the villa. Villa used as imperial residence through antiquity. Later nucleus of city that became Split. New city, new beginning in middle ages. (Aras, 2022)
