Split-Level Ranch “House”
This multi-level structure is comprised of a one-story section (which contains the living room, dining room, and kitchen) and a 11/2- or 2-story section (commonly an L or T extension which contains the bedrooms with a garage below). The various levels, and, indeed, the two sections, are joined by a central staircase. A pair of gabled roofs covers the whole. Room arrangements vary.
