Trade name for reinforced gypsum roof decking producted manufactured by U.S. Gypsum during the first half of the 20th century; the short-span type has nominal dimensions of 3x12x30 or 4x12x30 inches, while the long-span type is 5×18 or 6×18 inches by up to 24 feet in length; the 3-inch type is solid, while the others have four horizontal core holes running the length of the block; the short-span types are sometimes used on edge for solid plastered partitions.
