Asmall European treethat has hanging clusters of yellowflowers succeeded by slender pods containing poisonous seeds. The hard timber is sometimes used as anebony substitute. Native to Central and Southern Europe, laburnums have been widely planted as ornamentals. (Kremer, 2025)
