Surface Transportation and Uniform Relocation Assistance Act of 1987
U.S. federal legislation requiring that historic bridges that are to be demolished during projects using federal funds be made available for donation to a “state, locality, or responsible private” entitites who agree to maintain them, and that the Federal Highway Administration make funds available to preserve bridges that are no longer used to carry traffic.
