Originating in California, Rustic Modern is a late-twentieth-century concept of interior design and architecture in which a rustic, exposed aesthetic prevails. Earthy, sustainable wood beams, organic materials, and rough-hewn and utilitarian elements are coupled with a do-it-yourself charm. (Lubell, 2018)
