The collection of sculptured fragments brought to the British Museum in London by Lord Elgin; the collection consisted mainly of pieces of the metopes, frieze, tympana, and other parts of the Parthenon, the Nike Apteros, and the Choragic Monument of Lysicrates. (Saylor, 1952)
