Italianate (1840-1885)

Identifying Features
Two or three stories (rarely one story); low-pitched roof with widely overhanging eaves having deocrative brackets beneath; tall, narrow windows, commonly arched or curved above; windows frequently with elaborated crowns, usually of inverted U shape; many examples with square cupola or tower.
