Description
The first mill race was constructed by early pioneer WarehamWarner. The Peabody brothers were responsible for others that followed. Themill races provided power for several mills built along their length. In morerecent times mill races passing through the Stoffer Market Place and Lloyd Parkhave been filled in to make way for residential and commercial development. Thelast remaining mill race begins at a point slightly east of HannahStreet and terminates at a point near the Porter Street foot bridge.
