Commodore Perry Linn, 1864
    Died March 28, 1947

Linn, born in Defiance County, Ohio, on December 19, 1864, came to Albion in 1896 as a freight clerk for the Michigan Central Railroad. He had previously been stationed in numerous Michigan cities with the railroad in various capacities. Linn was employed as paymaster at theAlbion Malleable Iron Company from 1903 to 1940. Linn was also a director at Homestead Loan and Building Association since 1915, and served as its president from 1931 until 1944. Linn’s job would be to guide Homestead through the difficult days of the Great Depression. He died March 28, 1947.
