Secular Gothic
A style that originated in Europe, especially northern regions, in the twelfth to fifteenth century. (Kremer, 2024)
Defining characteristics include: wooden-framed ceilings, arcades, towers and turrets, irregular plans, oriel windows, and (pseudo) battlements.
