An architectural style characterized by: a box-like appearance, two stories with a centrally-located chimney, linear floor plan (i.e., one room deep), exterior wall covering of weatherboarding or shingles, small casement windows, steeply pitched gable roof with little or no overhang and no decorative treatment, and a simple batten door.
