Apine treewith a tall, roundtrunk and reddish-brown, coarse-grained, resinous strong ehartwood and creamy pink oryellowsapwood; found in wetlands and near streams from eastern Texas to southern Delaware; used for framing, sheathing, and millwork; lumbered primarily from 1870 to 1915; Pinus taeda.
