A right-angled (or circular) projection from the inner angles fo a building around a court or with advancing wings. They usually contain a staircase, or sometimes the oriel of a hall, and are often terminated above the roof-line with an agee dome. They are mostly to be found as part of sixteenth- or seventeenth-century plans. (Harris, 1966)
