Prince of the heavenly militias and patron saint of mariners. One of seven archangels from the Book of Enouch including Uriel, Raguel, Raphael, Sariel, Gabriel, and Remiel. Eponymous for the island of Mont Saint Michel in France, with an earlier church dated to 970 AD. The Duke of Normandy transformed the church into a monastery.
