A slide rule of the revolving type. It consists of a hollow sleeve having graduations and being capable of sliding along and revo lving around a continuous cylinder which is held stationary by a handle. The scale on the sleeve is arranged in the form of a spiral, hence the name. (Bridge, 2019)
