SMEs
An acronym for “small and medium-sized enterprises;” as a general reference, small is often from five to 20employees, medium is from 20 to 200 employees. Businesses with fewer than five employees are usually called microenterprises; however, this is just a guide and there is no official delineation. (Davis, 2025)
