Downtown – Bluefield, West Virginia

We only had a moment to visit Bluefield. During that time we were struck by the urban character of a few blocks. When we arrived work was being undertaken to install what appeared to be a bus stop canopy. Nearby were several simple two- to six-story glossary/buildings/" class="glossaryLink" data-cmtooltip="a2dbf93c59b6ab76f358376453e65a83" target="_blank" >buildings with an urban character.

Once could be mistaken to think that they were in a much larger city. Then to reflect that this was in a very rural area of West Virginia showed how building patterns changed so radically from the time that these buildings were constructed and today.
