Canadian Inventory of Historic Building (1971)

The Canadian Inventory of Historic Building was an early attempt to provide a visual tool for classification of architecture. The multi-sheet survey form had a variety of illustrations grouped by category, for the surveyor to choose from. This system made possible detailed analysis of building features, and analyzing data about buildings on a macro level.
