John M. Weeks, 1912
    Died June 5, 1983

In 1944, John M. Weeks was selected as the new secretary-treasurer of Homestead Loan and BuildingAssociation. Son of Justice of the Peace Harold B. Weeks, and the grandson of Homestead’s first attorney, Monfort D. Weeks, John Weeks was born April 25, 1912. Graduating from Albion HighSchool in 1930, he attended Albion College for a year; from 1939 to 1944 he served as deputy Calhoun County clerk. He served assecretary-treasurer of Homestead until 1952, when he resigned to devote full time to his insurance agency. He remained on the board of directors, however, for many years afterwards. He died June 5, 1983.
