Robert C. Tuck, 1933

Robert C. Tuck became chairman of the board of Homestead Savings and Loan Association in February 1979, succeeding retiring president Theodore Van Dellen. A local attorney, Tuck had been association with the firm of Van Dellen, Kingsley, & Tuck in offices at Homestead’s old 403 S. Superior Street location since 1963. Tuck was born November 20, 1933, in Ferndale, Michigan, but was raised on a farm near Homer. A 1951 graduate of Homer High School, he received his BA degree in Economics from the University of Michigan in 1955, and a JD degree from the University of Michigan law school in 1963.

Tuck has served on the board of directors and as president of several area organizations, such as the Albion United Fund, Albion Rotary Club, and the Calhoun County Social Services board, as well as being a member of the Calhoun County Bar Association.
