Olga (McGuire) Hicks was an Albion native and valedictorian of AHS Class of 1914. She taught foreign languages in the Albion Public Schools from 1920 untilher retirement in 1967. A French major, Olga taught English, French, and Spanish. It was Olga Hicks who introduced Spanish at Albion High School. She even reinstated German as a language course at Albion HighSchool (1936 only).  At the time of her retirement she had taught a total of 43 years.
