Wayne Dellage, 1913
Wayne Dellage assumed the duties of secretary-treasurer of Homestead Savings and Loan Association on January 1,1952, replacing outgoing secretary-treasurer John M.Weeks. Dellage had begun working at Homestead on October 15, 1951, and worked with Weeks for three months in order to insure a smooth transition. Born November 6, 1913, in Mitchell County, Iowa, Dellage came to the area in July 1942, as personnel manager at a Battle Creek hospital.
Dellage came to Albion in 1946 and served as assistant city clerk under Paul P.Naggle. He then became paymaster for the Granger Construiction Company in 1947, which at the time was building a new plating building for Union Steel Products. Dellage subsequently became paymaster of Union Steel from 1947 to 1950. When Corning Glass came to Albion, Dellage was hired as payroll supervisor, and set up their time-cost system.
