The new facility, which is twice as large as the old library, contains modern areas for book storage, for the reference collection, for check-out and for “special collection”. The new facility also has a modern meeting room for community organizations. Mrs. Helen Gregory functions as the Children’s Librarian and conducts a wide variety of children-oriented services. Goals being undertaken in 1976 have included “weeding” the entire collection, updating and improving the reference collection, adding between 1,500 and 2,000 volumes to the collection, and continuing the friendly and professional services of the library.
