US Census Block # 34-110 (Block 28 [N], Block 42 [S]
Description
Created by closing Perry St and joining two blocks from the Original Plat, Block 28 (north half) and Block 42 (south half). Some of the oldest homes in Albion were located on these two blocks, especially Block 42 which was adjacent to the Albion College quadrangle. By 1918 both blocks together had 19 homes. Today only one of these homes remain, the rest were removed to make way for Goodrich Chapel in 1958 or have been demolished some time after the chapel was constructed.
