A fine linen fabric covered with a gelatinous material or sizing making it transparent so that it can be used for copying drawings. Used for draughtsmen for drawings because less destructible than tracing paper, and because it make possible an indefinite number of repetitions of drawings made upon it by sun print and other processes. (Sturgis, 1900)
