anatomical theatre
A room fitted with seats for the demonstration to medical students of dissections, the giving of lectures with explanation of models, and the like. The need of bringing every student very close to the table, etc., has caused the elaboration of a scheme of seating, which has been used also in surgical theatres, in hospitals, and to a limited extent elsewhere.
