Replica of an 18th century jointingtool designed based on drawings in Moxon’s Mechanick Exercises or the Doctrine of Handy-Works. The curved shape and rolling action used to create the line down the center of a joint creates a puffiness and fullness to the jointthat is traditionally seen in Georgianjoinery and cannot be achieved with any toolthat is pushed ordragged.
