A stud wall that incorporates a wood truss that spans over an opening below; the truss may be nearly the full height of the wall or a braced header between the head of a doorway and the ceiling; typically thet wo diagonal top chords of the truss are scarfed into a horizontal bottom beam. (Bucher, 1996)
