Saint Pier Giorgio
Since his death, Pier Giorgio has been a point of reference for generations of young Catholics, who have elected him as a model of a Christian life capable of fully expressing the reward of youth. The figure of Blessed Pier Giorgio is known and present in all the countries of the world where the Catholic faith is professed. From Patagonia to New York, from Paris to Philippines and Canada, from Poland to Ukraine and Nigeria, to mention just a few examples, Pier Giorgio is widely known, and many are the initiatives, groups and associations that, also by raising his name, are promoted to and active throughout the world. Saint John Paul II beatified him on May 20, 1990. He was canonized by Pope Leo XIV on September 7, 2025. (Kremer, 2025)

Let’s pray with Pier Giorgio
Holy Father, we thank you for the gift of Pier Giorgio Frassati, who lived in the light of the Gospel, joyfully embracing the path of the Beatitudes and lovingly dedicating himself to serving the least of our brothers and sisters. Grant us too a pure, generous, and hope-filled heart, always ready to encounter Christ in our brothers and sisters. Grant us to live our faith with consistency and passion, nourished by Christ in the Eucharist, to spread, like him, the joy of the Gospel. Grant us, Lord, to live simply and joyfully, facing life’s challenges with the strength of prayer and the support of your grace. May our life also be directed upward, O Father, on the way of the cross, with trust and perseverance, always trusting in You.Through Christ our Lord. Amen. Pier Giorgio Frassati, pray for us!
