Incorrect usage, molding vs. moulding, see “” instead. A molding continued in a different direction from its main direction, as in mediaeval architecture, a drip, hood, or label molding over an arch, when, at the springing point on either side, it turns and assumes a horizontal direction, either for a short distance or continuously, as a string course.
