Mt. Airy granite

Trade name for a medium-grain even-textured, light gray to nearly white biotite granite quarried at Mt. Airy, North Carolina. There is also a White Mt. Airy, very light gray with predominant colors of black and white and a few faint pink quartz crystals scattered through it; the stone is of medium grain. (Saylor, 1952)
