Timber board cut with a tongue on one edge and a groove on the other, often with bevels on either side of the face to be exposed, so that when the boards are fixed they have V-joints between them, forming decorative dados, ceilings, panels, walls, etc., called matchboarding. (Curl & Wilson, 2016)
