A type of block flooring made by bonding usually three layers of wood veneer together. Block flooring is available in a number of patterns that can be joined to simulate plank, strip, and parquet flooring. Woods such as cherry, teak, and walnut are often used with oak and maple to give a block floor more visual interest. (Phillips, 1994)
