In Japanese (?????? ), for the name given to a class of finely potted porcelains associated with the Kakiemon family of potters and produced in factories around Arita, In Japanese (Painted with a distinctive color palette in a repertory of delicate designs, Kakiemon porcelains were made beginning in the middle of the 17th century. The term is also applied to the copies of these Japanese wares made in 18th-century Europe. (Terry, 2022)
