Florentine glass

A vintage pattern which was popular in the early 1900s for windows and doors to provide both decoration and privacy. It features a repeating floral or starburst design, sometimes described as a snowflake pattern. Commonly found in historic homes from the early 20th century. Designed to distort the view through the glass, offering privacy while still allowing light to pass through. (Kremer, 2026) Photo from New York City, New York, 2023.
