The field of vision radiating outward from the eye of the viewer in linear perspective, defined by sightlines forming a 15 degree to 30 degree angle with the central axis of vision. The cone of vision serves as a guide in determining what can be drawn in linear perspective without the appearance of distortion. (Ching, 1995)
